General Information for Programs and Courses

  • $85.00 Administrative Processing Fee for all Programs and Courses-Non-Refundable.
  • ST to CST Administrative Processing Fee is $50.00 and is non-refundable.
  • In-state and Out-of-state Tuition, Fees, and Expenses are the same.
  • Tuition and Fees include a non-refundable class deposit, and pre-entrance drug screening. 
  • Additional expenses such as uniforms/shoes, textbooks, supplies, parking, immunizations, BLS certification and hospital ID badge are the responsibility of the student. Detailed information on these expenses are distributed during registration.
  • Requires a computer and printer. High-speed Internet is recommended. Computer access is available on campus during normal operating hours. Students are recommended to have access from home.

Cardiovascular Technology Programs /Fall 2012

  • Invasive Cardiovascular Technology and Cardiac Electrophysiology Program - Total Program cost is $18,015.00 for tuition and fees.  Includes the CCI and CS Registry Exam fee. A total of 60 credit hours at $285.00 per credit hour.
  • Non-Invasive Vascular Study and Adult Echocardiography Programs - Total Program cost is $16,925.00 for tuition and fees. Includes the ARDMS Registry Exam Fee.  A total of 56 credit hours at $285.00 per credit hour.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $150.00
  • Estimated cost of new books:  Invasive $723-989; Echocardiography $931-1346; Vascular $951-1140; Electrophysiology $900-1502.
  • Class deposit of $100.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
  • Ultrasound Instrumentation courses at Tidewater Community College are required for students in the Echocardiography and Peripheral Vascular specialties of the Program. Tuition costs for those courses, for in-state and out-of-state residents are in addition to the costs indicated above.

Nursing Programs / Fall 2012 / Spring 2013

  • Traditional BSN Program - Total Program cost is $22,661.00 for tuition and fees of 72 credits. Care Partner is 7 credits and costs are $1,050.00.
  • LPN to BSN Program - Total Program cost is $21,236.00 for tuition and fees. A total of 67 credits.  
  • RN to BSN Program - SENTARA EMPLOYEES -Total Program cost is $8,000.00 for tuition and fees. NON-SENTARA EMPLOYEES - $12,012.00 (Starting Jan. 2013-$437.00 per credit hour) A total of 26 credits.  
  • Each program is $285.00 per credit hour.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $200.00 for Traditional, LPN to BSN, and Early Admit.
  • Traditional, EARN, LPN to BSN - New books are projected at $2,175.01.
  • RN to BSN Program - New books are projected at $1,443.00.
  • Class deposit of $100.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
  • NCLEX fees of $330.00 are not included in the tuition and fees.

Surgical Technology Program & ST to CST (AAD)/ Fall 2012

  • Surgical Technology Program/Diploma - Total Program cost is $11,265.00 for tuition and fees. Includes registry exam fee. A total of 39 credit hours at $285.00 per credit hour.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $150.00
  • Estimated new book costs are $288.00-393.00
  • Class deposit of $100 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.

 

  • Surgical Technology Program/Associate of Occupational Science (2013) - Total Program cost is $14,645.00 for tuition and fees. Includes registry exam fee. A total of 48 credit hours at $285.00 per credit hour.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $150.00
  • Estimated new book costs are $288.00-393.00
  • Class deposit of $100 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.

 

  • ST to CST Accelerated Alternate Delivery Bridge Program (AAD) - Total for Program for Sentara Healthcare employees:  $1,990. Tuition includes CST exam.
  • Estimated new book costs are $127.25.
  • No uniforms-all on-line.
  • Payment by course is available. 
  • Tuition assistance is approved for Sentara Healthcare employees.

  • $850.00 tuition through the January 2012 class.
  • $1,050 tuition starting for the March 2012 class.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $125.00.
  • Book costs are approximately $75.00.

  • Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.

Monitor Surveillance Course / 2012

  • $1,000.00 tuition for July 2011 Course Start Date.  Tuition includes the CRAT exam.
  • $1,160.00 tuition for Jan. 2012 Course Start Date.  Tuition includes the CRAT exam.
  • Book costs are approximately $100.00.
  • Payment plans are available upon request.
  • Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.

Nurse Aide Education Course / 2012

  • $850.00 tuition.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $125.00.
  • Book costs are approximately $50.00.
  • Payment plans are available upon request.  Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.

Central Sterile Supply Technician Course / 2012

  • $1905.00 tuition.  This includes the CRCST certification from IAHCSMM and organizational membership.
  • Uniform costs are approximately $125.00.
  • Book costs are approximately $178.25.
  • Payment plans are available upon request.  Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
