Once you receive a letter of acceptance from the College, you may contact financial aid.
The responsibility for meeting a student’s educational costs rests with the student and his/her family. The Financial Aid Office at Sentara College of Health Sciences exists to help students and their families access other means to supplement their resources when a need has been established through the financial aid application process. The first step to receiving Financial Aid is to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you are interested in financial aid you must file this application. Please observe the steps listed below:

On March 30, 2010, President Obama signed the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (HCERA), which, among other things, makes significant changes to the federal student loans programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. One of the provisions of the HCERA is the termination, as of July 1 2010, of the authority for lenders to make new loans under the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program. Therefore, beginning July 1, 2010, all new Stafford, PLUS, and Consolidation loans can only be made under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan ) Program.
What does this mean for students?
