About the Tests

- The TEAS measures basic essential skills in the academic content area domains of Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language Usage. These entry level skills were deemed important for nursing program applicants by a panel of nursing program curriculum experts.
- The TEAS is a 170- item, four-option, multiple choice assessment. The TEAS is a four hour test with 50 minutes allotted for Reading, 56 minutes allotted for Mathematics, 38 minutes allotted for Science, and 65 minutes allotted for English and Language Usage.
- National Average must be met on all four areas in order to be considered for admission to the Nursing Program.
- The College recommends that you prepare for testing. The TEAS test version SCOHS uses is Version 4.
