General Information for Programs and Courses

- $50 Administrative Processing Fee for all Programs and Courses-Non-Refundable.
- In-state and Out-of-state Tuition, Fees, and Expenses are the same.
- Tuition and Fees include a non-refundable class deposit, pre-entrance drug screening and criminal background check.
- Additional expenses such as uniforms/shoes, textbooks, supplies, parking, immunizations, BLS certification and hospital ID badge are the responsibility of the student. Detailed information on these expenses are distributed during registration.
- Requires a computer and printer. High-speed Internet is recommended. Computer access is available on campus during normal operating hours. Students are recommended to have access from home.

Tuition, Fees, and Expenses – Programs
Financial aid is available for qualified students.
Cardiovascular Technology Programs / 2009-2010
- Invasive Cardiovascular Specialty Program - Total is $14,665.00 for tuition and fees. Includes the CCI and CS Registry Exam fee. A total of 60 credit hours at $230.00 per credit hour.
- Peripheral Vascular and Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Specialty Programs - Total is $13,845.00 for tuition and fees. Includes the ARDMS Registry Exam Fee. A total of 56 credit hours at $230.00 per credit hour.
- Uniform costs are approximately $150.00.
- Estimated cost of books: Invasive $638; Non-Invasive $715; PVT $723.
- Class deposit of $100.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
- Ultrasound Instrumentation courses at Tidewater Community College are required for students in the Echocardiography and Peripheral Vascular specialties of the Program. Tuition costs for those courses, for in-state and out-of-state residents are in addition to the costs indicated above.
Nursing Programs
- Traditional BSN Program - Total of $19,505.00 for tuition and fees. A total of 79 credits.
- LPN to BSN Program - Total of $18,355.00 for tuition and fees. A total of 74 credits.
- RN to BSN Program - Total of $9,235.00 for tuition and fees. A total of 36 credits.
- Diploma Program (no longer available) - Fall 2009-May 2011 Class- Total of $14,330.00 for tuition and fees for the Registered Nursing Program. A total of 57.5 credit hours at $210.00 per credit hour.
- Uniform costs are approximately $200.00.
- Books are approximately $1,319.00.
- Class deposit of $100.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
- NCLEX fees of $330.00 are not included in the tuition and fees.
Surgical Technology Program / 2009-2010
- Surgical Technology Program - Total is $9,345.00 for tuition and fees. Includes registry exam fee. A total of 41 credit hours at $210.00 per credit hour.
- Uniform costs are approximately $150.00.
- Books are approximately $498.00.
- Class deposit of $100.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
Tuition and Fees – Courses
Care Partner Course / 2009-2010
- $850.00 tuition.
- Uniform costs are approximately $125.00.
- Book costs are approximately $75.00.
- Payment plans are available upon request.
- Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
Monitor Surveillance Course / 2009-2010
- $1,000.00 tuition.
- Book costs are approximately $90.00.
- Payment plans are available upon request.
- Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
Nurse Aide Education Course / 2009-2010
- $850.00 tuition.
- Uniform costs are approximately $125.00.
- Book costs are approximately $75.00.
- Payment plans are available upon request. Sentara LifeCare, the long-term care division, will reimburse tuition with a 7-month full-time work commitment after successfully completing the Course.
- Class deposit of $50.00 is required upon acceptance and is applied to the cost of tuition.
