Tuition and fees for all programs and courses at Sentara College are competitive with those at similar institutions.

Tuition & Fees for Bachelor Degree Programs

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

  • 71 credits at $350 per credit hour (LPN students may have a decreased rate pending advanced placement)
  • Required non-refundable fee of $131 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of new books: $2,175
  • Estimated cost of uniforms: $200
  • NCLEX fees of $300
  • Total Program cost: $29,795

RN to BSN Program

  • Sentara Employed Students: 30 credits at $339 per credit hour
  • Non-Sentara Employed Students: 30 credits at $520 per credit hour
  • Required non-refundable feed of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of new books: $1,443
  • RN to BSN students are not required to purchase uniforms
  • Total cost depends on start date and full time/part time status

Adult Echocardiography Program

  • 57 credit hours at $350 per credit hour
  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of uniforms and new books: $1,500
  • Total Program cost: $23,648 (includes the ARDMS Physics (SPI) Exam and CCI Specialty Exam fees)

Cardiac Electrophysiology Program

  • 53 credit hours at $350 per credit hour
  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of uniforms and new books: $1,550
  • Total Program cost: $22,359 (includes tuition and fees and the CCI Registry Exam fee)

Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program

  • 56 credit hours at $350 per credit hour
  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of uniforms and new books: $1,550
  • Total Program cost: $24,250 (includes CCI Registry Exam fee)

Non-Invasive Vascular Study Program

  • 57 credit hours at $350 per credit hour
  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of uniforms and new books: $1,500
  • Total Program cost: $23,298 (includes the ARDMS Physics (SPI) Exam and CCI Specialty Exam fees)

Surgical Technology Program

  • 54 credit hours at $350 per credit hour
  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of uniforms and new books: $1,050
  • Total Program cost: $21,983 (includes registry exam fee)

Nursing Care Partner Course

  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat

  • Tuition cost: $1,688

Monitor Surveillance Course

  • Required non-refundable fee of $100 is due upon acceptance to reserve a seat
  • Estimated cost of new books: $125
  • Tuition cost: $1,930 (includes CRAT exam fee)

About Tuition & Costs

There is an $85 non-refundable application processing fee for all Programs and Courses at the time of application.

There is a $100 required non-refundable fee for most Programs and Courses upon acceptance to reserve a seat; the exeption is the Traditional BSN Program, which has a $131 required non-refundable fee.

The charge for auditing a course is half of that course's tuition and the entire supplemental fee for the course.

In-state and out-of-state tution, fees, and expenses are the same. 

Additional expenses such as uniforms/shoes, textbooks, supplies, parking, immunizations, BLS certification, and hospital ID badge are the responsibility of the student. Detailed information about these expenses is distributed during registration.

All Programs and Courses require a computer and printer. High-speed internet is recommended. Computer access is available on campus during normal operating hours. Students are encouraged to have access from home. See the College Catalog for hardware and software requirements
