Joanne Ferraioli, Director

Joanne Ferraioli is the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). She is an Instructional Designer and Educator. She received her teaching degree from Christopher Newport University and a master's degree in Instructional Design from Old Dominion University.
Ms. Ferraioli joined the College in 2014, serving as an Instructional Designer in CETL. She has a strong background in education and technology. As a result, Ms. Ferraioli loves coming to work every day at the Center collaborating with colleagues to create engaging ways to facilitate their content. Her specialty is online classroom support for best practices that facilitate engagement in a virtual environment. Her current role in CETL provides a wonderful opportunity to assist new faculty in the transition to the world of academia in Sentara College's distance learning programs.

Norma Bonney, Instructional Design Consultant

Norma graduated with her teaching degree from Norfolk State University and her M.Ed. degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology from Grand Canyon University. She has 25 years of experience in education that includes various classroom and instructional specialist experiences. Norma enjoys spending her spare time with her two sons, husband, and extended family. Her hobbies include reading and music.

Tina graduated from Old Dominion University with a Master of Science degree in Business and Industry Training. She has 20 years of experience in education and thoroughly enjoys sharing best practices in the face-to-face classroom environment. Tina has three beautiful children and enjoys playing tennis in her free time.

Stephanie holds a master's degree in Education from Cambridge College and has 16 years of experience in public education. She enjoys working with technology, troubleshooting, and learning about innovative and exciting emerging technology. She has two children and a wonderful husband.
